Bob Harris

Your verdict "Unmistakeably laid-back, and still and independent champion of great music" - R Evans, Liverpool.

Network Radio 2, 10pm Saturdays; Bob Harris Country, 7pm Thursdays.

Style Laid-back is the usual description, but Harris also has a calm authority.

Biography One of the greats of British contemporary music broadcasting, Harris started out at Radio 1 in 1970, fronted The Old Grey Whistle Test on BBC2 and is now best known for Radio 2's Bob Harris Country. He was also the founding editor of Time Out. His Oxfordshire home contains one of the largest private record collections in Britain and a shrine to Manchester United.
