Radio 2 Celebrates Country
In March, Radio 2 Celebrates Country offers listeners a feast of country music. As the official broadcast partner of C2C Country to Country, the biggest country music festival in Europe, the network broadcasts from backstage at the festival in London’s O2 Arena with two shows. On Saturday 12 March (3pm-6pm), host of Radio 2’s The Country Show (Thursdays, 9pm), Bob Harris, introduces highlights from the festival.
Bob returns to his old stamping ground, BBC Radio’s “Sounds Of The 70s”
Bob will be sitting in on BBC Radio 2 for his great friend Johnnie Walker on ‘Sounds of the 70’s’ on 16th and 23rd January.

BBC broadcaster Bob Harris is back on commercial radio next year with a new series of shows on Boom Radio.
Whispering Bob will be charting the history behind genres and styles through music lineage and artist relationships.

50 Not Out - Greg James in conversation with Bob Harris
Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Greg James grew up with Bob’s famous whispering voice coming out of the radios at home, as his father Alan has been a fan from Bob’s first broadcast on Radio 1 on August 19th 1970 and his television career on The Old Grey Whistle Test, right through to Bob’s current work on Radio 2. They are firm friends through a love of cricket and music and have often attended gigs together with their families.
Greg talks in depth to Bob about his life, influences and passions and constant search for the next big thing.
